KungFu WebMag Seminar 05
This weekend my shifu Arne Grandt and me as his assistant were invited to the 2nd KungFu WebMag Seminar. The seminar took place at the Shaolin Temple in Berlin and was organized by Sifu Ali Ol and his [http://www.kungfuwebmag.de/|KungFu WebMag] team. Seminars were held by 8 invited sifus and Ali Ol himself. The students could pick short seminars in Chen Tai Ji Jian (by Sun Jianguo), Wing Chun (by Marc Debus), Choy Lay Fut (by Michael Punschke), Hung Gar (by Andreas Garski), Chow Gia Dao (by Sifu Ali Ol), Shaolin Quan (by Christian Kronmüller), Chen Taiji (by Mario Pestel), Seven Star Tang Lang (by Jochen Wolfgramm) and also Tai Ji Mei Hua Tang Lang Jian (by Arne Grandt). The location was quite overwhelming as the Shaolin Temple Germany has a big training hall with about 800 m² and 3 big buddhas in it and some smaller meditation rooms, where for example Tai Ji classes were held.
The event was quite a success. About 70 students with different MA backgrounds could get a look at what other styles have to offer and exchange ideas with practitioners from all around germany. Also there was a very open minded discussion and exchange between instructors all over the weekend.
It’s really refreshing to see so many different practitioners of various CMAs getting along so well together without having to argue about which style or lineage is superior.
You can find some photos of the event in my [http://www.tanglang.info/lazy-index.php?file=KungFu%20WebMag%20Seminar%2005/|gallery] and also some clips of the demonstrations on the [http://www.kungfuwebmag.de/|KungFu WebMag Site] under Media | Videos.
